To the Residents of Dekalb County,

Voting season is already here!  The 2016 presidential election vote will take place on November 8, 2016, in polling stations across Dekalb Country.  In the United States, we are privileged to have the right to participate in the democratic process through voting, so Sagal Radio encourages you come out to vote!
Please look at the information below on how and where to vote.
How do I check if I'm registered to vote?
In order to vote in Georgia, you need to be registered. To check if you are registered and find your polling place, go to the My Voter Page.  Additionally, anyone who arrives at the polling location cannot be turned away and has the right to cast a provisional ballot if he or she believes they are eligible to vote.
Can I still register?
Unfortunately, the registration deadline to vote in this upcoming election has already passed. However, if you registered and need to request an absentee ballot, you can do so here (absentee ballots are sent to voters in the mail who will be away from their home on election day). The earlier the better!
Where do I go to vote?
Your assigned polling station is indicated on your voter registration card.  You can also check online to verify your registration status and check your polling station here.  You can also locate your polling station on the Dekalb County polling place finder tool. 
How do I vote?
On November 8, 2016, you should go to your assigned polling station, as indicated on your voter registration card.  It is not necessary to bring your voter registration card, but you need to bring one approved form of photo ID.  Here is a list of the approved forms of photo ID:
  • Any valid state or federal government issued photo ID
  • A Georgia driver's license, even if expired
  • A valid U.S. passport
  • A valid employee ID card containing your photograph and issued by any branch, department, agency, or entity of the U.S. government, Georgia, or any county, municipality, board, authority, or other entity of Georgia
  • A valid U.S. military ID card
  • A valid tribal photo ID
Can I vote early?
Yes, you can!  Early voting starts on Monday, October 17th and ends on Friday, Monday, November 4th.  You can cast your early vote in-person at multiple polling locations.  Check out this link to see the different locations and voting times.

Can I bring my kids with me to vote?

 Yes!  Your children are welcome to come along, and it is a great way to educate your children on the voting process in the United States.
