Paula Gwynn Grant answers questions about the Housing Authority and its purpose within the Dekalb County community.

Shelter is one of the most basic and necessary things that humans need to survive. However, successfully finding and keeping a place to live in a new country with an unfamiliar language and set of rules can be daunting. This task can even be overwhelming to people used to life in America who are unfamiliar with the rules of the housing system.

This is why Housing Authority of Dekalb County offers many community resources to help people within Dekalb County obtain and keep their new homes as well as informational resources for anyone confused about the housing system. Paula Gwynn Grant, Director of Communications and Community Development at the Housing Authority of Dekalb County, sat down with Sagal Radio intern Mary Claire Kelly on August 31st to answer some questions and clear up some common misconceptions about the process of finding a new home in America.
